Default 2nd to last hand of $20 180. Villain on a complete bluff.

Still can't imagine what he must have had to fold this. He was a big bluffer, hence my loose push.

    He left 18k behind him.

    lol gg villian.

On that note I am not so sure I like your line either... You basically called his turn push with A high. I would say you have about .01% FE... and this just happened to be the 1/100,000th time villian would fold.

I must have done this wrong. I noticed its not showing the suits. I have the Ace of Diamonds w/ 3 diamonds on the board.

    It's talked about in HOH.

In baseball, you have teams that play smallball (teams that can execute good baserunning, hitting behind runners, lots of hits, etc) and have teams that play longball, where you have a couple big players who knock in your runs.

In poker, playing smallball would be trying to play lots of small pots with speculative hands, flatcalling raises before the flop (Gavin Smith and Mike Matusow talk about this a lot on the cardplayer podcast), and gradually building a big chipstack.

Longball is the opposite of this: playing fewer pots, but bigger ones.

Actually, I specifically meant longball BLUFFS.

The long ball here is that he flat calls the flop looking to take away at the turn. But you just shrugged and pushed it in. He must have nothing on the flop other wise he would have to call your re-raise on the turn. So he must have really nothing (like T2!). Or he misclicked.

The advantage of long ball is that when it works, you win much more, as opposed to simply taking small pots away on the flop. The downside is when the sunvubitch won't go belly up...
