Playing the bubble
I am a limit ring game player who doesn't play many MTTs, but last night I took a shot at the Super Wednesday. I went through a really cold run of cards right before the bubble approached and this hand came up with 61 people left in the tournament and the top 60 getting paid.
Party Poker Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind t3000 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
UTG+1 (t76325)

MP2 (t18020)

SB (t40920)
Hero (t9020)
UTG (t38660)
Preflop: Hero is BB with Q , A .
6 folds, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls.
Flop: (6 SB, t18000) 3 , 5 , 9 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls [t3020] .
Turn: (3.50 BB, t21000) 7 (2 players)
River: (3.50 BB, t21000) 3 (2 players)
Final Pot: 3.5 BB (t21000)
Now, with the 60th person getting paid $340 and 1st place getting about $21,000 is it worth it for me to go allin here for a slightly better chance at advancing far in the tournament or should I just fold and make sure I finish in the money? Average stack size at the time was about 48,000 chips I think and there were 2 people with fewer than 4,000 chips whose blinds would come up in about 2-3 more hands.
