Do you guys always raise 44 UTG in 6max?
reason why i posted this thread...i wanted to know ppls thoughts about it, and yes i always raise 44 UTG, ill raise 22 UTG in 6 max, is this bad?

    I don't know, I don't really play 6max.

I'd hazard a guess that it's only gonna be +EV on a really tight/tough table.

No, it's fine. Alternatively just limp it if table is loose-passive.

I'm considering to open-fold 22-66 in UTG/UTG+1 on tight tables btw.. Set-over-sets makes playing it (close to) -EV.

I dont think I agree with this at all..

Set over set happens too rarely to make it -EV, even on tight tables

I open-fold the really tiny pairs a lot in early position, and not just at tight tables. Why would I want to limp with 22, and have to fold when the LAG on the button makes a big position raise with a wide range of hands?

I could see it becomming -EV at a solid 1000NL table.

If you raise 22 utg at a solid 1000NL table, you can say that you will only get action from higher sets and it may or may not be true. But a solid 1000NL table is probably pretty aggressive so you'll get paid more than you think.

You will get calls from higher pocket pairs all the time, they will miss their set, and you'll take yet another pot. The few times they hit a set, you'll probably completely miss the flop. Once in a great while when its set over set, then reload.

If the table is so screwed down tight, rocky and unaggressive that you only get action from set over sets then its time to find a new table.

If you start getting reraised out of too many pots preflop then I'd find another table as well.

I ment at 1000NL open limping 22 UTG could be -EV.

    Downswinging holla!
Yeah I raise pocket pairs from UTG all the time, very standard. Helps you get action when you actually do flop a set.
