    Default Email to Bodog

    My email:

    Dear Bodog Customer Service,

Last night I made it to the final 2 in the $25k Guarranteed $50+5 tournament. Once we were heads up, I gained a 3-1 chip lead only to have my connection die. I rebooted and rejoined the table but in the amount of time it took the software to notify me that I was disconnected and the time it took my computer to reboot, I'd lost over a million chips to blinds.

I understand that nothing can or could be done on your part in this regard, however I have a request: Could future versions of the software allow for a longer timeout period - at least for the first hand or two - once heads up play starts? Many sites have such a one-use timebank and PokerStars even extends it from 60 seconds to 90 seconds when you are at the final table. Such a feature could have meant the difference in making another $2000 for me last night.

    Sincerely,
    - Jeffrey B*******

Your email (if you choose to support me, send it to [email protected]):

    Dear Bodog Customer Service,

In the past, you have been responsive to customer requests - adding features, making interface changes, etc. In this regard, you've done a commendable job. There is another item that would benefit from attention: the addition of a timebank during tournament play.

The need for hands to move quickly is certainly evident. Despite this, the ability to use a time bank once or twice during a tournament when faced with a difficult decision or to enable recovery from a disconnect would be a tremendous addition to the site. Of specific importance is facing time constraints at the final stages of a tournament - at the final table and during heads up play. Whether or not a time bank exists for the rest of the tournament, one should certainly be available here, preferably with around 90 seconds to allow usage during multiple hands or to minimize the impact of a disconnection. I hope such a feature can be added soon.

    Sincerely,

Ok, so from the response I got from Bodog, they do have disconnect protection at the final table...for some reason what happened to me didn't activate it. "Despite the software saying that it is reconnecting, you were lagging, not disconnected, so you went into auto-fold mode."

Sucks, but in the scheme of things there's not a lot I can really do...
