    Your loosing, lolololololololololol
You're playing scared with a boat. I think flop is ok, turn is debatable. River is a raise, no?

A nit doesn't check down an overpair on a draw heavy board.

My thoughts were this is either air or something that beats bottom set. Either way I saw no point in raising the river. To me, calling > folding > raising.

The fact that I have a boat as opposed to a set is virtually irrelevant IMO.

Just being nitpicky is all. While I'm picking nits, I think you have the <'s backwards.

Anyway, I see your point. J9 is the only credible hand here you beat.

If your read is accurate, it looks like a river raise is only getting called if you're beat.

minraise the river, fold to a push.

the only thing that is concievably beating you is JJ, 99, and 44. However it is really hard to put him on another hand, so i don't mind a call.

    No hindsight for the blind.
Yeah, with you calling his c/r on the turn and him betting out on the river, he's only calling a raise if you're beat.

I'd hate to see him check/minraise a draw and hit the river, so I probably re-reraise on the turn, is this a bad idea?

Theres a long thread I started about this, but my personal sentiment is I very very rarely bet/3bet. IMO it only unveils the strength of your hand while tightening the calling range of villain on later streets.

I only think bet/3betting is appropriate on draw heavy boards, in deep stack confrontations, or on the river for value.

Would he check a set twice to you? I would think that on the flop that if he had a set then checking to the PFRer would be almost standard, but on the turn I dont think he is going to check again. Could he view your turn bet as simply a delayed continuation bet? I think this could be air very often which would make raising fairly pointless, I just think this line is a little weird for a set, Im not sure what I would put him on really.

    I think a call is fine;bottom set/boat is def worth a showdown.
