    Default ITM KJo

    What do you think of this call? Its likely that I'm an underdog, I'm getting odds, but its likely for my tournament life. I'm also calling and not the one pushing.

    1. You've got odds if you're behind.
    2. He could be pushing with anything given the blinds.
    3. After ITM play for 1st.
    Easy call.

    Id be interested to see an ICM calc (I'm too lazy right now). Those don't appear to be as cool as they used to be.

    I think he's pushing 100%, meaning that that this is an unbelievably easy call.

    with his stack size and because its 3 handed, i dont think it would be too uncommon to push with any 2 cards...especially since your the bb. kjs is way ahead of most 2 cards

    even if hes pushing with 60% of his hands, your still a 3/2 favorite

    Thx for the quick replies. I initially questioned my play here.

    Now I'm procrastinating

    Fold:
    P: 2980 - 30.6
    S: 8285 - 41.4
    A: 2235 - 28.1

    Call & Win:
    P: 0000 - 20.0
    S: 8285 - 42.3
    A: 5215 - 37.7

    Call & Loose:
    P: 4310 - 34.9
    S: 8285 - 41.7
    A: 0905 - 23.4

    p is probability of winning:
    p * 37.3 + (1-p) * 23.4 >= 28.1
    p >= 32.9
    Only have to be 33% to break even

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 39.8793 % 39.65% 00.23% { KdJh }
    Hand 2: 60.1207 % 59.89% 00.23% { Ac3c }

    39.9% * 37.7 + 60.1% * 23.4 - 28.1 = 10.0
    So expectation of calling is +10% of prize pool

    I'm not very good with hand ranges, but you have to put him on A9+, 99+ to make it a marginal call

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 33.2829 % 32.93% 00.35% { KdJh }
    Hand 2: 66.7171 % 66.36% 00.35% { 99+, A9s+, A9o+ }
    +0.6% of prize pool

    not bad. I would say villians range is even wider.

    A2+, JT+, 22+,

    I agree with it being wider. I didn't want to make something up so I went with how tight does he have to be for us to find a fold. I assumed it was obvious that villain is looser than A9+, 99+.
