My line is the hand was played horribly from start to finish.

Calling with 52, out of position, with only 3 runners is awful IMO, regardless of the fact that you already had half a blind in. You then flop a draw to second weakest flush possible, bet it and are called. You then turn the tiny flush, bet it again, and are called, again. A card that might make a straight for 79 comes on the river, and you make another bet, which is raised. So he either has 79, QT or a broken flush draw. Besides that, this bet is saying "I have you dominated and you have been betting into me the whole time. Now I'm going to punish you". How much more info do you need to tell you that you are beat?

Add to that the fact that your bets got progressively smaller as the pot got bigger, effectively broadcasting how weak your hand was.

Regardless of the outcome, playing this sort of flush is going to cause you all sorts of trouble that you don't want.

Fold preflop. Level 1 of a tourny is not a time to be committing lots of chips on crappy holdings.

My thinking on the turn was that if I bet small I would almost be sure to be reraised if they held a high flush.
She looked at me and said youz a baby right?
I told her, I'm 18 and live a crazy life
Plus I'll tell you what the 80's like
And I know what ladies like

If someone is holding a high flush on the turn, they're going to call you, and push on the river. By raising the turn, they are forcing a check out of you on the river, and any bet they make is likely to result in a fold from you. You're doing all their work for them by betting every street.

Even if I was quite confident opp had filled his straight, I still wouldn't call this many chips down with such a weak flush this early in a tournament. You are going to find much better spots to get your money in as the tournament progresses.

why are you spewing 240 chips on the flop when the pot is only 60? you know you could bet 40...

Oops, I forgot to comment on the horrid overbet. Thanks for pointing it out.

never bet less on the turn/river than on the flop ever again. Would you ever try and bluff like that?

saying that if I'm beat here, I go broke every time.

Even if I was quite confident opp had filled his straight, I still wouldn't call this many chips down with such a weak flush this early in a tournament.

I think a 10 chip complete with 25s is acceptable... just don't get screwed by it.
Flop overbet was horrid - although with 12 outs I will lead here too.

I would probably just push the turn since he might hold a heart > 5 (and he did). Once you hit your flush, you kinda have to go with it and pray he is not playing AXh.
