Any way to get away from this cheaper? this is pathetically low stakes btw, but the fact that the origional raiser didnt push but still re-raised makes it easy fold right?

Also this is still a fold if the donk with 66 folds right?

i dont consider reraising preflop OR flat calling bad...its just a matter of preference. personally id rather flat call, but reraising is fine too. you might have reraised A LITTLE too much, but for the most part its pretty standard

if guy with 66 folds it isnt an auto fold. if this is a pretty large field, you might want to take a gamble to build a stack. but there are a lot of fish that will give you easier chances to get chips, so i might pass

on the other hand, at $11 PS, there are ppl who will do something like this with one guy having JJ and the other having 66

and then your 50% to take BOTH stacks... i dont mind the call early - if you bust, you bust - just fire up another one. but if you win the pot, youre in great shape to coast to the money and have the inside track to a W

In this case, i like a flat call to a raise in EP. maybe this is just me being a nit, but it seems that every time i pump up the pot preflop with AK, the flop comes all lows and i end up folding to a flop bet.

I also like bruins reasoning that in this case you see hands like JJ and QQ pushing here, and you have the possablility of taking 2 stacks and setting yourself up for a win.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

I'm not going to say you should have called with your AK, but:

The chances are that neither player had AA or KK here. At the low level stakes SnGs. Players can make these moves with a very wide range of hands. You could have been up against QQ and TT or JJ and 77. Anything really. And you can see that from the guy going in with 66.

I'm not sure if I would have called, since I don't want to risk my SnG on a 45-55 bet. But mathematically, surely there is a good argument for calling here:

The pot will contain about 4500 chips and you need to put in 1100 more to play. So your pot odds are 3400 to 1100 = 34 to 11, which is slightly better than 3 to 1. Let's say that you're up against KK and QQ here, you're chances of winning the hand are approximately 25%. This justifies a call.

The only case where you're a clear underdog is up against AA as in this case. You also have a smaller chance of winning if you're up against Ax and KK. In every other scenario, you're getting great odds.

eg - AKo vs JJ vs AQs:
    32% - 43% - 24%. In this case you only need 2 to 1 to call.
eg - AKo vs QQ vs JJ:
    36% - 46% - 18%. Again it's a clear call.

So how can you say it's a fold here with such great pot odds. And at these low stakes. You can put your two opponents on a big range. I'm surprised that a player actually did have AA here. So many times at the low stakes you see two players going allin preflop and you see a hand like 66 vs AJ. Or JJ vs 99.

Does anyone have an answer to this?

I don't like the reraise with AK PF. You're committing 20% of your stack to a hand you're going to have to give up on postflop most of the time.
