this wasnt perhaps my most brilliantly played hand..

should i have bet the turn/river, given that i filled up on the river, lessening the chances BB has the case 4?

Why did you bet out on the flop?

I slow down after my pot sized bet is called in two places.

    Check the turn and re-evaluate.

I think the flop bet is OK, I would bet a little less though - 180-200 should do it. I agree with nogenius, once you get two callers it's time to throttle back and check the turn.

I don't like the flat-call pf with ppl to act behind you. Flat-calling doesn't do anything but give better odds for fish with 45s to see the flop. JJ is a strong hand, but you don't want to see the flop with everyone and their mom.

Flop bet is fine, turn bet, I might slow down, but I don't know about checking... that's just asking for somebody to take this pot away from you.

River, unfortunately, I think your chips are going to the middle. I think your hand is good and very well may have been looking at hands like 9T and TJ, which just got blown out of the water. But I don't think you have enough chips to give up this pot, you've gotta pay off the case 4 or any overboats. I'd bet out 650, hoping to get smooth-called by weaker hands, but if you get raised AI, you gotta call off your last 250 or so.

what nat said...playing oop with JJ is tricky. make it a bit easier by reraising a decent amount, trying to get it heads-up.

That usually wakens the overpairs up and changes the pot odds for the BB.

    why wouldn't he??

fwiw .... I get my money in on the river. If someone has a 4 or TT, 99 or QQ+, well ... good for them, but someone's going to have to show me I'm beat here.

I also like the re-raise pf. In this case it would have helped to better define your hand. I would have made it 120-150 pf and pushed out some of the trash. Any big PP, AK, possibly AQs comes over the top and you'll have to make a race decision.

As played, I push the river and pay off the case 4 and any higher boat.

Any hand that was ahead of you on the flop or turn still is. With 2 callers of 2 very strong bets, this is rough. Gotta hope they are both calling with either a T or diamonds. Why no preflop raise? Do you really want to play JJ 4 handed?

you have to get your money in here. if someone beats you then, gg, move on. And definetly raise here PF, then you have a much easier decision on later streets.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

For everyone who says that the bet on the flop is good, I don't see how it is when he didn't reraise preflop. Calling preflop warrants a check on the flop IMO.

I could go either way here... but this flop is not a "PFR" flop (A or K high). It's a pocket pair flop - since it only hits 9T/TJ AT? ... and no one has a 4, right? (except maybe the BB). I just noticed that MP1 PFRd. But donk betting

I think lead here is good but two callers is bad. Also, why bet so much? 3/4s is enough to ruin flush draw odds.

Turn is decision time for you with 2x the pot in your stack. Either check, and check/fold if a diamond hits the river, or push I think. Betting 650, (i.e, leaving you with 1/2 your starting stack) is OK if you can fold to a raise on if a diamond rivers. I don't like it though - decide if they are slowplaying or drawing, and move in or try to check it down.

In the end - no one with a better boat is folding. I would have to assume a T or 9 bets out (but I had a similar head scratcher posted in 6max forum). I guess just put it in, pay off a 4 QQ/KK/AA.

All this trouble would have been avoided if you re-raised preflop!

i know i should have raised preflop

i felt like neither player had me beat because i wasnt raised on the turn, so i thought it was appropriate to get it in on the river
