Party vs Stars sitngos

Reading this forum, I found many threads where people say things like "Party $55 is like Stars $22" and so on.
I for one, as a beginner, had a very tiny ROI at Stars $5.50, a very good one at Party $11, and now I'm playing at Party $22 and breaking even.

Despite this, seems that here many prefer Poker Stars.

Am I missing something?

I play the turbos at Stars occasionally. You should ask nogenius for advice. Usually I play the $6.50 and $16s but occasionally dabble in the higher ones.

Personally, I think the players in the turbos are not as good as the players in the standard SnGs of roughly the same buy-ins.

Sounds like you're missing sound BR management. If you're not beating the 5.50's at stars and playing 11's and 22's on party I'm guessing you're not rolled for them.

Stars 5.50's are the easiest thing since the drunk girl at the party last weekend who was taking her pants off in the middle of the room. Crush those before moving on.

I think you will also find that people who play Stars are more interesting in improving their games.

Have to agree, on the Stars being a bit stronger than PP. I find that you have to make a conscious note that the players are more apt to call you to the river with 2nd or even 2rd pair on Party $10s.

I play 5 and 10s at Stars, the players are more tight and seem to pay more attention to betting patterns.

I have found my variance a bit less on Stars (the graph is for the most part an upward slant), on PP it is more big ups and big downs. I think I may have won more on Party is less time but if you sometimes tilt when people play strangely (like I do) you might be better off playing on Stars.

My BR is 5K. I could play higher limits, but I don't dare.
