Yeah I guess in SnG's the table becomes short handed so you have to loosen up anyway, but I'll try to do the same in MTT's now. Lets say you are well in the green in an MTT, do you play tight, preserving your stack and looking for good opportunities to play, or do you try to see every cheap flop thinking that you can afford to do it and you might flop the odd concealed monster?
In HoH he says that you play however you want. I would caution you to play loose unless you are a decent at reading players. Playing tight takes a little of the guess work out of things and you will tend to last longer in MTTs. With that said you have to be willing to die to live. In order to get deep you need to accumulate chips. As you progress, as I am trying to do currently, you will need to focus on what your opponents have and what you think they think you have. Confusing I know . Like chardrian always says, "take your hand off the mouse and think before you act". There are a lot of good articles out on the web and at FTR. I would suggest that you do some searches. Here is an interesting article for playing in the early stages and trying to chip-up. gl
