Sorry, I should've been more clear. Obviously your decision of whether or not to fire the turn is heavily dependent on villian. If you know he is a weak/tight player, then by all means, bet the turn. But without a read, I would check the turn b/c people love to call down, and that turn card changed nothing in his eyes.
When he bets the river, the only hand you beat is Tx, where x does not pair the board, and I think Tx makes up a relatively small portion of his range. If he's bluffing with middle pair, you are beat.
Checking behind on this flop is not a bad option too, because you have a small piece of the board with a backdoor flush draw. So there are a decent amount of turn cards that will "help" you.
