No! C-bet and take it from there. You say you don't like rerasing preflop because you assume if you get called you will be dominated. While this may be true for some players, it definitely isn't true in general, and especially not true against a bad lag. But more importantly, you are retaking control of the hand by RR'ing pf, and forcing him make a hand, and as a result you take the pot down w/o showdown a lot of the time. This is why 3-betting pf is such a +EV move, and you don't need a premium hand to make it work.

It depends. Against a nit, I fold w/o hesitation. But keep in mind he is opening from CO, so even a non-LAG's range should be at least somewhat wide.
