Default Couple of QQ pre-flop decisions

    Hand 1

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
    8 players

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $17.30
    UTG+1: $87.25
    MP1: $9.50 is sitting out
    MP2: $49.45
    MP3: $23.85
    CO: $67.50
    Staresy: $75.85
    SB: $23.25
    BB: $54.50

Pre-flop: (9 players) Staresy is on the Button with Q Q
UTG calls, UTG+1 raises to $1, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, Staresy raises to $5, 3 folds, UTG+1 raises to $12, 2 folds, Staresy calls.

    Flop: 8 5 3 ($27.25, 5 players)
    UTG+1 bets $15, Staresy ...

Villian is a 43/10, but not super donktastic. He knows when to let go.
Nobody 3-bets at micro-stakes without AA, right? Esp. not into a Tightie (Me!) whose stats are 15/9.

What do people think of the call of the 3-bet preflop? I am thinking that, if I spike a Q (without an A), There is a fair chance I am stacking him here. Yes? No?

    ===============================================

    Hand 2

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
    9 players

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $22.50
    UTG+1: $40.15
    MP1: $90
    MP2: $37.05
    MP3: $32.65
    CO: $50.70
    Button: $26.20
    Staresy: $54.25
    BB: $54.50

    Pre-flop: (9 players) Staresy is SB with Q Q
UTG raises to $2, 3 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, Staresy raises to $7, BB folds, UTG raises to $22.50 and is all-in, MP3 folds, Staresy ....

No solid reads on villian as he's only been at our table for ~1 orbit, but he's been in virtually every pot so far.

Hand 1: Fold flop, I agree that you almost never see 3-betting pre-flop with anything but AA or KK. I'm ok with the pre-flop call, but it's close. Effective stacks are $70 and you have to call a $7 raise. You have to be stacking him close to 75% of the time a Q hits to make this +EV.

    Hand 2: Gamb00l.

No way, never gamb00l hand #2 here. This is AA over anxious to get it all in because he thinks he just caught some poor sucker with KK.

Yeah, IPlayJustAboutEveryHand doesn't get credit for AA/KK here.

How can you be so sure against a shortie who's been at the table one orbit and played almost every hand? I put him on JJ+, AK:

    Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

    359,583,840 games 0.375 secs 958,890,240 games/sec

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 47.3659 % 45.79% 01.58% { QQ }
    Hand 2: 52.6341 % 51.06% 01.58% { JJ+, AKs, AKo }

And he's getting over 2:1 pot odds!

Range is too tight for someone who's been in almost every pot for an orbit.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

Could be. It doesn't matter though. As long as AK is in villain's range, hero is never worse than a 1.5:1 dog here and it's an easy call.

Didn't read the little tidbit at the end of the second hand. Yeah that makes calling it easier but how has he been playing these hands so far? Aggressive or constantly limping? Is this the first hand he has shown aggression?

you don't think this could be a horrible player overplaying middle pair or AJ/AQ here then, Miffed?

    I can't fold hand 1 quick enough.
    I can't call hand 2 quick enough.

Hand 2.. if he's a donk, you're well ahead of his range, which would be something like 22+, AJ+.. if he's a clever one, you're behind. From him being in every pot I'd say he is more likely a donk, so go for it!
