1) I'd be temted to do the same here, but who would raise me that I have beat? Probably a set. A typical line is a raise after the turn. He knows I have the Ace, so the least he has is also two pair with a better second pair. He could have 8 10 aswell for the straight (even though calling a raise with it is certainly questionable, unless its an obvous steal). Let it go.

2) I push it in and if he has quads: lucky bastard. Never ever care about quads in this situation, pay them off every time. Only Situation I would possibly give someone credit for quads is if there are three of a kind on the board and I am holding a pp or hit a fourth card. This would be a weak boat that I woud consider folding to aggression.

I would have bet the turn aswell, but if two poeple hit at least a boat, the money is going to go in no matter what, no use talking about the best line. If he was to talk about how he trapped you with his quads, he did'nt, you just played your hand. If you had quads, every sane player would have donated his stack to you in the reverse situation.
