Default okay to check made hand (set) on turn?

i think this is another one of those situations where checking the turn for me would be -EV at higher levels, but at the 11, its entirely possible that this will induce a bet and potentially on i can get all in on

or do i just bet out there and hope he has AK
(if the K doesnt come, im check-folding)

No, I would still bet out here. Make it 450 or so.

Looks like CO has an ace, you should be able to stack him here.

I wouldn't check the turn here.
If he has an ace, he's already paid 250 to see the flop, then paid 300 more after getting his pair. He'll pay more.
If he called you with a pocket pair and hit a set, he isn't folding. He'll pay more. (all good unless he has AA.)
If he called you with a suited connector, he might have a draw against you, in which case you don't want to give him a free card.
I would hate it if he checked behind me, and a card that makes the flush or straight hits on the river. That could either kill your action, or beat you. Get your money in while you're ahead.

Bet somewhere between 400-600 here. He'll call it, but if you check, he might check behind with something like AQ or AJ. Then a face card or a spade hits the river and you're screwed.

There's really no reason whatsoever to check here unless you have a great read that he will attack weakness on the turn (which you probably don't have unless you played him before).

Fo a lot of players its a reflex to check a great hand to disguise their strength. This is good in certain situations (if you flop a full house and there is a flush or straight draw out there etc.). Your hand here is perfectly disguised, no way villain can put you on a set of kings on the turn after you bet on the flop. If you check here you miss out on one bet. Bet like 500 on the turn and like 700-1000 on the river, depending on how reluctently he calls the turn.
In order to live you have to be ready to die!

The only reason to check it is if you have reason to believe he will bet the turn, based on reads

It's doubtful he will bet the turn, and the hands that will bet the turn would probably raise a bet on the turn so value bet this donk.
    Check out the new blog!!!
