random min bet - weakness or strength?

with his bet on the turn, does that smell weak to you guys? i felt like it was the kind of bet i could take him off of on the river. am i completely stupid to be thinking this?

Against a tight opponent i could imagine c/r him when his river bet is weak (value bet) to rep the flush (tough if he has it). Given he does'nt have it and also given he's a thinking player and no calling station this play would work a lot of times. I think your five is not good here most of the time, the only way you can take this down is a bluff.

The min bet makes no sense, but if he makes a really weak value bet on the river i don't mind a push. I don't lead out though.

I take his bet for face value - a weak attampt to buy the pot (with a marginal hand - probably better then yours) and reraise the turn.
I doubt the 8 helped him, so I bet the river strong.

There is always a small chance he is holding KJ and is slowplaying a str8 on a dangerous board, but I take this risk
