in this case, im playing the $11 turbo to the stars sunday million.

however, there were 180 entrants... and 80 rebuys in the first minute.

what is the general strategy to try and get a seat? just camp and try to double through?

the good news is, ~100 people in the tournament aren't playing correctly, probably due to BR.

The bad news is, it sounds like one of them is you.

Don't play these unless you can afford to rebuy. You MUST gamble in the rebuy period.

even in the gambool fest that is the 55k nightly RB, you are OK (not happy, but OK) with the 5k stack you can get from double RB + AO - the blinds are only 75/150 off the first break.

Here, that only gets you 3.5k chips, and IIRC it's 200/400 + ante coming out of the first break.

In my experienece, the easiest thing is to get the big stack so you can be raising. Once blinds hit 600/1200ish you can steal your way to a seat. You goal more or less should be to never take a flop in these things after the first 30 minutes. Steal, steal, steal.

If you end up average, you're often forced to camp by another big stack. You'll have to win a few flips, or be the one SS with 3k left at 1500/3000 than finds the last seat.
