    Default Coin flips

How many are you involved in? It may be best to fold certain hands just to avoid 50/50 flips and wait for better spots. The more im in flips in SNgs even with good hands aq ak 88 99 it seems the more likely i bust out. Where as if i just called and saw the flop preflop i would be doing better or raising off 2.5-3x bb intead of pushing all in with limpers with a M of around 10-12.

Depends on a lot of factors, stack sizes, reads, # of players remaining and whether you are pushing all-in or calling all-in. Remember that when you push AI you have to add the chance that opp will fold to your odds.

Post some specific hands to provide some context to the discussion!

Making reads is kinda tough , these players all think they are the shit, it will take a few hands to get them out of syn, but any maniac can push up with a hand. I label the sng players and hardly ever see them again.

I just dont like flips. Especailly when blinds are 50/100, 2 limpers. I was dealt Ak pushed with a stack of about 1300, 350 in the pot roughly and was called by 8's. These are more common situations for me where my stack is roughly 12-15bb, and if I raise to say 400-500, its like im pot committed or in a shitty situation where as when Bob says below 8xbb, if you have a hand to just push (much easier) Didnt improve. Where as i could have just raised 400 and saw flop. These are the situations that i Hate where it could go either way. You push all in, win/loose the flip or Bet out 3-5x bb preflop and continuation bet(all in) and hope he folds his hand. Which sometimes seems like the better play if the flop texture is good.

But from my analysis and just plain simple thought, getting involved in Ai situations with ak aq 99 88 77 1010 with an M of over 12 is ev-. Where as seeing the flop would be better. But in order to win I KNOW U MUST BE INVOLVED IN SOME FLIPS. But in sngs the less the better it seems.

To push and steal the blinds with bs k9 mg hand(q2) db hand)102, I feel the blinds have to total at least 40% of your stack in order to make it a profitable push. But only when its not very deep.

To try to find a hand where I had pushed over a preflop raise with AK and flipped against a PP, I went through my PT database and in most cases opps had hands against which I was a favourite.

That could be true as most only like to raise with 66/77 above when it gets a little deeper with 7-8 players. But Ak is nothing uless it improves. Along with aq. Im talking more when your M is over 12 in Sngs.

Hard to discuss without context, post a couple of hands to provide some background. But in the first hand you mentioned when blinds were 50/100, your stack 1300, 2 limpers and you pushed AKs, pushing was the right move.

The thing with AK is that it needs to see all 5 cards and only hits an A or K on the flop about 32% of the time. Plus by pushing over you make your opponents make a tough decision. If I was your opp with 88 it would by no means be an easy call to make.
