Default Stars 5 + .5 QQ on the bubble w/ Chip lead

SB seemed fairly solid. I didn't have a great read on him but I did not see him do anything out of line. My range for him was TT+, AJo+, ATs+. My first instinct was to raise to 2500. I started to second guess myself because I figured if he reraises I'm commited for almost all my chips.

PokerStars (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Seat 2: SB (4360 in chips)
Seat 6: BB (2695 in chips)
Seat 7: Hero (5635 in chips)
Seat 8: Button (810 in chips)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, Q.
SB posts a blind of 100. BB posts a blind of 200
Hero raises 400 to 600, 1 fold, SB calls, 1 fold.

    Flop: J, T, 4 (2 players)
    SB bets 900 , Hero?

Well you're not folding and you can't call, so you have to reraise. You have the best hand here almost every single time, so putting all your chips in is fine.

Because you have the best hand here almost every single time, putting all your chips in is *not fine. You want a call. Triple hisher bet, call any push here. Pop the turn unless A or K (or J?) comes. If A or K comes life sucks.

He's worried about being reraised after he reraises. I did not say to push over his reraise.

you keep saying "reraised" ... I don't follow. There's a bet on the flop. Hero should raise it. But a push here will get a fold, as opp is likely to have TPMK or worse. The raise should probably be a standard 3 X the bet.

Haha sorry, I see. You're right, "raise" (I have a bad habit of saying reraise when it's only raise). I definitely never said push though. I agree that he should not push because he wants to be paid off.

I was definitely trying to say that it's okay to end up with all your chips in the middle if his raise is reraised, though.

    Simple math here guys...

SB starts with 4360, puts in 100 for the blind = 4260
    4260 - 500 for calling pf raise = 3760
    Bets 900 on the flop = 2860

So 3x his bet is essentially a push. Unless you're going to fold for 160 more.

Yup, we've already agreed that he's not folding to a reraise.

LeFou's comments made it sound like pushing and reraising 3X weren't the same thing. They are.

get the chips in, if he has AJ, he'll be bubbling out after being 2nd in chips (and might, just might learn a lesson in preflop tightness on the bubble). if he's got TT-JJ, gg and start up another. I doubt with JJ or TT he'd lead out like that though, chances are he's on a lead-out steal attempt, reraise and take him down.
