Default Some hands for you to critique

I thought I would take some the advise I had gotten from people here, on my last HHs post. I went down to the 10$NL tables. To try out some of the things I was told to do. Raise more PF I followed the 4-6XBB +1 per limper that Bair suggested. Not betting as big on the Flop/Turn/River trying to block Flush draws. Plus I am over the Tilt I was on yesterday so I am more focused.

Anyway heres a few hand let me know what you think about my plays. If you think they are good or bad. What you would do in these hands?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hand:1) I am dealt JJ in middle position raise PF 6XBB 5+1 limper = $0.60. I am re-raised to ($1.40). Right away I am sure he has QQ-KK-AA. I make the call just for Set value and the implied odds. If I Flop a Set and there is no A,K,Q. I am sure I'll take his stack, he probably wont Fold with the over pair I know he has. I also thought that if I make my Set but an A,K, or Q also Flops. I may be able to take the Pot with a good size raise if the A, or K is an over card to his PP. If its a Q he may put me on a Set of Qs. If he calls or re-raises my raise. I give him credit that the A,K or Q made him a set, or hes just not Folding. So I would check/fold the Turn. Hows my reasoning here?

As it turned out, I didn't hit the Set so I just Check/Folded the Flop. Correct play? Or do you think I should have took a stab at the pot maybe bet 2$ hoping he just calls and I get a chance to make a Set on the Turn? Should I have called his Raise? He showed me his KK.

Hand 2: I'm dealt TT early position raise PF 5XBB. Few callers. K on the Flop. Just check cause my TT arent that strong here. Checks around, I figure I am in the lead since there was no raise, and my TT is an over pair to anything but the K which it seems no one has. Turn is another small card. I raise the Turn only about half the Pot because my Ts arent that strong. Same bet on the River. Keeping my raises smaller like I was told. I win beating A high. Unreal what people at this level will call and chase with he had A2o. Hows my play here?

Hand 4: I'm dealt A4c. Limp in, Flop Nut Flush draw. I bet it. Get 1 caller, I make my Flush on the Turn and check it. Attempting to make it seem that the Flush possibility scares me maybe induce a Bluff or get a smaller Flush to make a play at me. He raises I call. I thought about check/raising the River, but decided to lead instead in case he didn't bet. He only had like $3.60. I thought if I bet enough to put him all in he would Fold. So I went $2 hoping maybe he would just go ahead and put the rest in. Hows my play here?

Hand 5: I have mixed feelings about this hand. I was dealt 66. Limp in, catch my Set on the Flop. There is also 2 Clubs on the Board. So going with what I was told in my other post when Villian sucked out the Flush. I kept my bets smaller, but still high enough to not give them the odds to draw. I know one of them HAS to be on the Flush draw. I was hoping to make a FH, really hoping the Tc came on the river. I knew I would de stack 2 people. Sure enough the other Club hit on the River. So it was Check/Fold for me. 2 of them went to show down one had the Nut Flush. The other had unbelievably K3s. Calling those bets with just a pair of 3s. Then calling off his stack with just 2 pair.

On this hand I am glad I didn't bet as much on the Flop and Turn cause I didn't lose as much. On the other hand though if I would have made bigger bets the Flush draw may have folded. Its doubtful though with these players, he may have even called an all in raise. I dont know. Basically though this hand was just a coin Flip there was probably nothing I could have done to win this hand.

What do you think about this hand and how I played it?

BTW there was a server reset that's why I am back to just the Max buy in. Had to re log in.

Bet more when you have a set or flush. Try to bet their stack over the streets you have left to work with. On draw heavy boards or action boards, try to get it in even faster!

When you have a really stong hand, your thought process should be "how do I get all of the money into the middle?"
  3. #3
    Your WPP is amazingly high.

Hand 1 looks fine if he's a nit.
Hand 2 the turn bet will accomplish nothing besides building the pot for you oop.
Hand 3 bet more on the turn man.
Hand 4 I fold preflop here.. no one is limping ahead of you and when people start (esspeically me) they usually tend to ignore how big of a factor position is. Again, you play the turn too passively.
Hand 5 TURN... You bet $1 into a $3 pot on a very very dangerous board 5 people involved. I'm suprised 2 people actually folded.

If you can't see if by now after re-reading your hands and looking at my comments, you bet weak every single time on the turn. You are missing out on a lot of value and giving your opps a price to actually catch a river card here. When you have a hand, get most of your money in by the turn and everything becomes much easier.
