Default Low pairs late in tournaments

This situation has arisen quite often when I am deep in a tournament. What do you when you're dealt a low pocket pair (22-77) and someone infront of you makes a standard 3x the big blind raise.

An example: Blinds are 200/400 and someone in middle position makes it 1200 to go. You have position on the raiser, He was 8k in his stack and you have 14k. Whats youre play with 55 here?

Same situation but he has 14k and you have 8k. Does youre play change?

Depends completely on my read of him. Rarely am I calling...usually it's either reraise or (more often) fold.
    I run a training site...

Check out strategy videos at GrinderSchool.com, from $10 / month.

I'd definately say that 9 out of 10 times 55 is going to get folded unless I've seen this guy raise with absolute crap a few times to give me a good idea of what he's doing. If I do play it though there is going to be a substantial re-raise. Put him to a good chunk of his stack, and see how bad he wants this pot.
