Default Donked up KJo, fold preflop? ($16)

This felt horrible. Opp was a 35/10 and had made some terrible preflop calls. Given this is the best thing to do just fold preflop?

Honestly? Preflop is fine, you have a decent hand in LP and its folded to you, Id assume this is a standard preflop raise and the flop cbet seems fines as well. You dont beat anything on this river and I wouldnt want to risk anymore chips on a steal without any reads so the fold is fine.

Fold PF, in that position I would raise 99+, KQs+, ATs+.

As played, cont. bet is OK.

open limping pretty much always sucks
raising here preflop is fine. A little loose for a SNG maybe (depends on who u ask) but it is leaps and bounds better than limping.

Cbet is fine and then check fold after that.

Because of this read I fold preflop. Most of the value comes from FE.

I think c-bet is still good because if he folds when he misses it is still +eV. After he calls the flop you have to shut down because everything beats you.

I pretty much have to disagree with the entire statement.

First and foremost, keep in mind this is turbo, blinds go up every 5 min, you cant camp for too long

In the CO raising KJ when it is folded to you in level 3 is not a bad move, picking up 75 chips is not nothing.

If you must play it limp
    - I would not limp here, its raise or fold, you limp, SB completes and BB checks or raises, you are either in a 3 way pot and pretty much have to check fold if you dont hit, or faced with a raise since you limped.
Your plan for this hand is to raise preflop, hope that either the blinds fold, or the SB folds and the BB calls and you take it down with a c-bet.

    You are 1st position
    - he is the CO

I think your preflop bet was OK. While the game plan initially is to c-bet a missed flop, in this case the board is very dangerous (str8 and flush draws). Villian is big stack and a lot of times big stacks tend to be more willing to waste a few more chips chasing. Most of the time it is good for you, but in this case you want him to fold, and you need to bet more then 299 to accomplish that.
In this specific situation I check the flop and take the free card.

As played I am happy to take the free turn card.
His river bet is wierd, he either has a very strong hand or weak to nothing hand. Your problem is that even weak hand (low pair, A high) beat you, so you need to come over the top to have a shut at the pot. I think as played I fold the river

i dont c-bet that flop very often or at all with your stack size. THe flop is too coordinated and you will get called way too often (yes sometimes with the best hand) but you dont have enough chips to make a tough/tricky turn river call/bet without being crippled.

    Taipan,

I think given the opp making so many calls here, yeah I would simply fold it.

Thanks for the comments everybody, interestingly enough I cross-posted this on 2+2 and the consensus was to fold preflop. Personally I agree with TLR and Trikflow, with a loose opponent and a co-ordinated flop it was best to check behind on the flop rather than c-bet.
