I'm no expert at all but I'll say what I think anyway 
You will be out of position in the hand, preflop villain just checks so I might try a raise to win it right there. Of course this depends on how you have both been playing. will he fold? Does he play every hand, does he raise etc.
On the flop the board is paired which scares people, I'd try a bet. If he calls then proceed with caution.
On the river I'm pleased he goes all in and I call. If he made a flush or a full house then well done him, you are still well in the hunt.
