    Default JJ in the BB

Hand history's are crap on this site it seems. So Im just typing it out. Cant even copy and paste (or at least I dont see how I can). Little info on the game. SB had only played 4-5 hands and was in every one raising min 6x and c-betting every hand on flop and turn. He lost some and won some, but seemed like his whole plan was just to try and push folks off their hands.

    $200NL, Full Ring
Hero is in the BB and delt Jd Jh
    UTG limps for $2
    +1,2,and 3 folds
    +4 checks
    +5 raises to $6
    Button folds
    SB raises to $15
    Hero (BB) calls
    UTG folds
    +5 calls
    flop comes 3c 3h 7c
    SB bets $20
    Hero (thinks a second) calls
    Button folds
    Turn is Jc
SB bets $36 (at this point SB has $78 left in his stack)
Hero? (I have $129 left in my stack)

I'll post results later. I just want to see if I played it right first.

If he's the type to push bluff the river I call the turn and let him hang himself.

What if he's actually playing a higher pocket pair than I am? Do you give him that chance to hit a bigger full house on the river? Or if he has something stupid like Q3, do you give him that chance to hit his 4th 3 on the river?

Or if he does have a good pocket pair or a 3, do you push and see if he calls?

    Just some thoughts.

His odds of hitting a higher boat or quads on the river are too low to worry about - what you want is the rest of his stack in the middle. If he's aggressive as you say, I don't want to push him off his hand/bluff - I want to give him the chance to stick the rest in voluntarily. Other than a minraise, your only other option is to push, which folds a bluff.

Disagree, as per above. Unless we're sure of a call, there's no good reason to shove here.

    I push here.

Has he double barrel bluffed before? His turn line doesn't look like a bluff to me.

push because rivers can come that will shut down our action

i think a turn push is good since he obviously likes his higher PP and he will have a hard time folding on such a great texture board.

I don't agree with the flop call, however. You are just going to end up folding to the turn bet most of the time. You got really lucky here. Play it for set value when there is a reraise preflop, unless the guy is maniacal.

I thought I had established this in the original post?

Villian was very aggressive. I watched him loose a hand at showdown. He had AQo, winner had AKs, board was xKx44. Villian lost over $80 on that hand, just hoping his Ace was higher than anything the winner had in his hand.

Excellent point. I think a push could kill the action too though. I like a min-raise here.

Is this something you're actually afraid of?? So if you push here is your plan to make him fold because you don't want to go to the river with the top boat? I really hope you're kidding and I'm just stupid and missed some running joke here...

But anyway, aren't you guys afraid the action is already killed with the 3rd club here? I think I'd like to call the turn and hope he continues his play on the river, his read is that villian is very aggressive after all. If he checks to me I'll push and hope he has a hard hand to fold. I don't think much else can kill our action vs overpair on a paired board with flush possibilities. At the 200NL guys are finally capable of folding AA now aren't they?

Why haven't we even considered re-raising this turkey pre-flop?

Why don't we just turn our hand face up on the table?

I like a call here. We're a lock, let him hang himself or catch a club on the river.
