I raise the flop here and stick the rest in on this turn expecting villian to call with a weaker overpair.

    vnh Robert

my spidey-sense was tingling and for some reason I was freaking out about a donk-lead set from villain. This of course becomes very unlikely when board makes 2 of set possibilities quads... yet for some reason I still wanted to keep the breaks on ; I honestly felt there was a very good chance villain had quads, hence the trappiness - river min raise.

I have been pretty good at sniffing out sets over the past little while so I just trust it when I feel it happening.

What can be said about his line? I'm not sure I understand it all that much.

He will have a set some of the time - but most of the time this will be an overpair (he raised preflop, remember?). Stack him by raising flop and pushing turn

make the flop $75 to go, and stick the rest in on the turn.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

is there some reason why noone seems to think the donk lead smells of a set?

Maybe I just project my own play onto unknowns but his line is exactly how I would play a set, lookking to check raise ai on turn.

also, does the raggy flop make a set unlikey for villain?

    why?

I suppose folding an overpair or playing it weak is very read-dependant. This was against unknown so I prob just shoulda gotten the money in.

That being said, this happened on P rima. It's very unusual to see ppl donking into preflop raisers. like it happens once in 20 times with a hand that will not simply fold to aggression... (ok maybe i m exaggerating a bit, but...)
