Bad push? Ive lost about 55 dollars in SNGS today due to mostly bad beats with a few marginal plays that could have went either way.

No it wasn't. Your stack is 1440 and the blinds are 60/120. You have 12x BB or an M of 8.

Also, the 10x BB rule isn't hard and fast - there are hands like AK that need to see all 5 cards that can be shoved when your stack is >10x BB and particularly OOP. See the AK hand I donked up, even though I had 14x BB the correct play was still to shove OOP.

I don't get it. Do you know how to calculate M? It is the ratio of your stack size to the TOTAL of the blinds and antes. In the hand you posted, your stack was 1440 and the blinds were 240 (80+160) so your M is 8. In the hand I posted my stack was 1390, blinds were 150 total so my M was 9.3.

Yes, I think in single table tourneys big blinds is a better measure because antes don't really kick in until later. I don't understand your question, what is 50 chips?

You got one caller, what is a decent range of hands for a 3BB raise caller, I would say 66-JJ, AK, AQ. If they are loose AJ, KQ,AT.
That flop is pretty bad for you, because it is a good flop for any mid pair, they are not going anywhere with just a Q overcard.

Bad push. This isn't really a bad beat, it's more of a bad play. If you have to c-bet why not make it something a lot smaller than, say, your whole stack?
