    Default Late In 3.30 R&A, Donk Move?

    Villian had been rather tight, though he has taken down a couple of mid sized pots in the last 30 minutes.

    fold ASAP. You are a flip or dog to any hand with a heart in it. If he doesn't have a heart you're sort of OK price wise but almost always behind. unless he did this with no pair AND no heart, which is too stupid to be believed. And IF he has something like Ah9x you're drawing to a two outer that he can redraw against.

    Code:
    Board: 4h 9h 2h
    Dead:

            	equity (%)  	win (%)	tie (%)
    Hand  1:	09.1919 %  	09.19% 	00.00%      { 3c3h }
    Hand  2:	90.8081 %  	90.81% 	00.00%      { Th9c }

            	equity (%)  	win (%)	tie (%)
    Hand  1:	08.4848 %  	08.48% 	00.00%      { 3c3h }
    Hand  2:	91.5152 %  	91.52% 	00.00%      { Ah9c }

            	equity (%)  	win (%)	tie (%)
    Hand  1:	50.6061 %  	50.61% 	00.00%      { 3c3h }
    Hand  2:	49.3939 %  	49.39% 	00.00%      { Ah8c }

            	equity (%)  	win (%)	tie (%)

    I was actually the villian, just flipped the roles, to get an unbiased judgement on the hand. I felt that it was an impossible call for him holding 33.

    If only it were so pretty, he bet the flop and I raised him all-in I had nothing in my hand JdTd, but again I was playing off of his cards. I felt at the time it would be enough to get him off; I felt even better that he should have gotten off after he showed down the threes :P

    I've been through it 100 times, theres no way I call with threes in that situation. There were 1,967 different hands that beat him on the flop, and 4,532 more that are going to draw on him. I guess the only reason I'm even worried about it, this was my first rebuy event ever, and to say the least I don't like them so I wanted to win this and be done :P Oh well, maybe I was wrong.

    hmmm, you obviously read him wrong. He did have a weak hand, which you were right about. However, the misread is the fact he wasn't going to let go of his hand. He liked his hand when he bet the flop.

    You thought is flop bet was weak, but it actually wasn't. his holding's might have been weak but he didn't think so. The thing with MTT's is that you have to find different players weaknesses and exploit them. If you make "good" bluffs against a calling station then it isn't good. A terrible bluff against a nit, however, can turn out to be good.

    So, again, what i'm saying exploit weaknesses and don't play into them.

    3) Reads - remember that making a play based on a read means that you are making a play based on how you believe your opponent will act based on previous plays - not on how you would act if you were him.

    He clearly didn't believe you were tight if he called you there. Bad Read...
