Default Final Table play, low M all round

So I recently played a tournament and finished fifth, and I'm wondering if I played correctly in the endgame. It got to 6-handed play and the average M was about 4.5, my own included. I was, I believe correctly, in Push or Fold mode, and I was getting pretty decent cards (for my stack size), so I was going in pretty often, and only got called a few times (lost, won, won, putting me back at above average stack size, about M=7). Thing was, I had to show down a couple of crap hands, and the guy to the left of me had recently acquired a big stack.

I and my big stacked opponent seemed to be the only ones routinely going AI preflop.

In this case, should I just continue exactly as before (pushing with any decent hand when it's folded to me), or tighten up hand requirements? Should I maybe consider making plays like normal raises or limps?

you should be raising more liberally the tighter your opponents are and vise versa. if you've shown some bad hands and your opponents will call you with a wide range, you should tighen your pushing range. the bad news is you wont be picking up the blinds as much, but the good news is when you get a good hand, you'll be paid off
