I would. If you were on the button I could make an argument for flat calling because you have position after the flop, but here I would re-raise to try to isolate the UTG+1 raiser. Plus you don't want lots of callers following you.

As played, easy shove after his min re-raise to 700.

Shit happens. At low buyins he could well have AJ/AQ or a pocket pair QQ and below in which case you would be incorrect to fold or just flat call.

The alternative would have been to just flat call his 3x BB raise to see whether you can hit an A or K on the flop given you have position on him after the flop but then you risk having other callers coming in behind you.

first of all, stop being results oriented. its not a good thing

sometimes i flat call when a reraise has no folding equity vs a calling station type of player. you're shortstacked and tossing in that reraise is about 1/3 of your chips. you wont like the flop 1/3 of the time, not to mention you'll be playing against a calling station, so your continuation bets have little value. if this is against a calling station who you know has a big range here, you should re-reraise to get the most value. because this is a raise from early position, you likely dont have much fold equity because your more likely against a tighter range than late position raises.

    in general...

    reraising is good because :

    1. you have a chance to win the pot right away, with no flop

    2. you will be given credit for a big hand. AK misses 1/3 of the time, but most of the time your opponents will fold to your continuation bets because you are representing an overpair.

    3. you build the pot with a hand that is better than the original raisers range

given your chipstack compared to the blinds and the position of the original raiser, i like flat calling here.
