hmmmm .... I was surprised that many people called the raise in the first place cause I really hadn't played many hands up to this point ... clearly I must fold right?

That early in a SNG (especially at the $11 level) I would have put in a 4x BB raise pre-flop and would play Q's very cautiously on the flop if a danger card hits (I.E. no C-bet).

As for the raise, you are getting 4 to 1 so if he is raising at least 25% of the time without a K or trips, which is very feasible, you should make the call. The only negative is that you are out of position and may have to make a difficult decision if he fires again on the turn.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I agree, 120 to go preflop. Hopefully that will thin the field a little more.

On the flop, after two checks I would throw out a c-bet, however I would not bet so much. There is 360 in the pot, I make it 200 or so. Note that if there was an A on the flop I would just check.

To the minraise, you may be getting great odds but even 4:1 is not enough if you're drawing to the 2 remaining Qs in the deck. To me, it is quite read dependent as to whether to fold or play on. It's interesting that opp minraised rather than pushed despite the fact he has only 485 behind - is this opp trying to make a cheap bluff or is he trying to induce a push over?

Recently I've seen this move quite a bit where opp minraises what they think is a flop c-bet with air but will fold to any further action (or even better, call with a hand with which they are way behind). If you're feeling REALLY froggy (and just a little suicidal), a push might be a good move but my default line here would be to just fold, mainly because opp has put in more than half his stack and probably won't hesitate to put in the rest.

Wel I disagree with all of you. early in an $11 tourny you can't think in terms of bbs when betting preflop. you must bet in terms of stack percentages. With Qs and out of pos I like to bet about 10% to 15% the average stack. If you get called check any flop with over cards and flops without 2 of the same suet as well.
    whatever

Would you really check a flop that came Td 7s 2c? Would this be with the intention of check/raising?

I bet the flop pretty big because with that much action preflop, a king on the flop, plus a flush draw ... I figure I have to take away the 4 - 1 for all the drawers and find out if there really is a K out there.

With villians min raise, I can only assume that either (a) he's purposfully sweetening the pot or (b) he's a toolshed donk that doesn't realize that he could be giving odds to the 3 remaining players left to act ...

At this level I lean more towards the toolshed donk that minraises with Kx ... I don't see continuing as +EV.

i check flop. 2 many players to c/b against even tho 2 have checked to you.

i check. if last players checks and turn isnt scary i have the best hand.

if last player bets and others fold then i call and see what vllian does on the turn.

yes slighly weak but i have more info then
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
