JJ with limpers ($20k rebuy)

Default JJ with limpers ($20k rebuy)

The table had been fairly loose with calling preflop raises ever since the rebuy hour ended. That fact makes me wanna limp for a set here, but that seems so weak

Should I have limped? If I wanted to raise, I should have raised more, right? 1000 chips?

800 or 1000 is fine, always raise here, but you are rarely looking to get allin.

I agree with Bmxicle. But I like 1000 better. The limpers would tell me that my J's are the best so far.

I like 800 cause it's a large enough raise that somebody looking to get all in pre-flop will re-raise you. I do this all the time with QQ+ from early position, I limp in, allow as many people in the pot as possible, hope somebody raises me and then I push all in. If I have a hand like JJ I"m looking to raise to isolate, and am worried about early position limpers who push. If you make the raise too large, you will only have a tougher time getting away from the hand. Just my thoughts on it though.
