Default another QQ situation, your thoughts?

I want a few comments from this point and then I'll show you what I did and how it turned out. What do you put him on and what do you suggest?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    UTG+2 (t3422)
    MP1 (t21504)
    MP2 (t6086)
    MP3 (t8460)
    CO (t13724)
    Button (t19835)
    SB (t7900)
    BB (t24816)
    Hero (t10262)
    UTG+1 (t6500)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, Q.
Hero raises to t1200, 8 folds, BB raises to t2400, Hero calls t1200.

    Flop: (t5100) 7, J, 8 (2 players)
    BB bets t5101, River: (t12962) 9 (2 players) hero???

I haven't been at this table long enough to get much of a read on anyone...

With ~16bb, I wouldn't be messing around. I don't like the min raise preflop UTG. Bet 3x there and if reraised I would get my chips in. As played, he min reraises your min raise and I wouldn't care what he had and push. Simply because I don't have a clue with all the min raising going on. If you have been min raising before this then he isn't respecting the notion that you may have a monster UTG. If you get to the flop like you did, I would push all my chips in on the flop over his bet.

Although, some may play it differently but that's just the way I would play it.

If you had more chips the optimal play IMO is to put out a ncie re-raise pre flop and see what he is really about.

As it is, I think you have to push pre flop.

As played, push the flop once he raises.

utg u have to get rid of the bad hands behind u; after u get re raised u have to decide if he would minraise ur minraise with aa or kk then fold or push.

    fix the hand.

    raise more pre flop.

push pre flop (if you are in against AA/KK here your job is to go broke).

    push the flop.

I don't hate the min/raise here, although open pushing is standard. The tighter the table, and the more aggresive the blinds, the better it is to get cute with QQ here.

Once you are re-raised, just push. You cannot be afraid of AA/KK with your stack size.

Push preflop, villain has KK or AA

open pushing 10k at 300/600 standard with QQ? I don't like that standard.

I don't either. I like 3x raise, someone reraises, you push pre. Or 3x raise, get a caller, push flop.

    REMAINDER OF THE HAND

Thanks for the thoughts, I only minraised because of a couple of loose call stations even at this level.
After his reraise, I figured it was big stack with AJ+ so I pushed all-in.
Unfortunatly, I go broke here no matter. He calls with KK and Turn and River are no help.

You mean Lee didn't spike you a T on the river? You must not be paying your monthly dues.

don't know who lee is but I would have loved for him to spot me a T. That would have given me enough chips to go pretty deep....

Lee Jones? You mean, you don't get 2 outer'd like all of us non-stop?

Those that pay a secret monthly fee to Lee Jones get saved by 2 outers constantly.. you have much to learn

Thought that was a hand from Stars. How about Richard Segal. Get to know him better.

Raise 2½/3bb preflop. As played, push flop.

Calling the minraise is better than 3-betting imo. Saves you chips on a Axx flop..

Hmm... I think I miscalculated his M. OK, don't push pre-flop. But I don't think a 2x raise is that bad as long as you don't get 3 callers.
