Already ITM, I think we were down to 3 tables. My M is a little less than 5 after posting the ante and the blinds. UTG is limping from EP fairly often, folding to a push most of the time, so it looks like he just wants to see cheap flops. I'm looking at pot odds of 6.9 to 1 when it comes around to me.

J8s is not a horrible hand, but I find myself calling here with less sometimes. I get a sinking feeling in my gut and am wondering if I am too short stacked to be bleeding off chips trying to catch a flop from the blinds. If you play from here, how good of a hand do you need?

With your read, easy push. He might look you up since you're shorty but that 7.5k would look awfully nice in your stack.

Never call here. What kinda of flop are you hoping to hit? All you have good odds for is hitting the flop (i.e. a J or 8 comes), but there will probably be an overcard so you don't know where you stand.

push here. this is a great spot to pick up the blinds and the dead money. if you get a caller, not a horrible hand to make a stand with.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

When your M is this low you can't afford to just make calls. It's either a push or fold. With your read I would push here.

i would call. pushing is OK too, if you were down at 20k I would like that instead.

the more you suck post flop, the more you should push pre flop. The more UTG is likely to spew if you hit a hand, the more you should call.

I lean to calling beacuse winning the blinds is great but short term. I want a chance to double if I flop two pair plus. You also have a good size stack to CR AI if you flop a draw.

I'm pretty confident in my post-flop play and can get away from the hand easy if I need to. I do see the argument for a push and I would definitely push in this situation with several nice solid hands.

I guess my question is - what kind of hand am I throwing away here, and what kind of hand is worth a call at those pot odds, but probably not good enough to push?
    On moving up, properly rolled:

I am playing wide range - two gappers, Axs, maybe Kxs. Mostly just throwing away super trash, J3o, 82, etc.
