Rebuy question

    Default Rebuy question

I saw an $11 rebuy satellite to a WCOOP event this morning where about a third of the field was listed as "finished" in the tournament lobby, but the rebuy hour still had about 10 minutes left. Is it common for a lot of people to enter rebuys but only play one buyin, or maybe two? This seems like a waste of time to me, and a huge incentive for me to start playing some rebuys (major dead money). Anybody ever see this type of thing?
There's three types of people in the world...those who can count, and those who can't.

Yes, I have seen the same thing. Some of the folks try to play it like a FO and you will spot these guys at your table because they don't add-on right from the start. They're also the ones that start yelling at everyone who pushes pre. Saying that it's stupid and a waste of money.

below the $20 buy-in's pretty much everytime ive played half the runners are gone before the rebuy period has ended,

like the freezouts personally but the payouts in the rebuys are aften nice tho !
WORM: Just like the sayings says, you know?. In the poker game of life, women are the rake. They are the f*ckin' rake.
MIKE: What the f*ck are you talkin' about? What-what saying?
WORM: Well I don't know. There oughtta be one.

It happens a lot more than expected.

Sometimes even the better players leave if they lose their stacks twice. Could be that they don't think their table is profitable, or due to the bad beats they just aren't playing good poker (tilting even).

Let them leave happily, more money for you

You see it a lot more in sats where people may have won an entry in some micro tourney.
