    Default Top set so overrated

Did I donk this up? Villian was about a 23/6 thru 30 hands. Twice in two days I end up folding a set of kings. Rediculous

    Start the nit pick:

    I make it 200 preflizz-op.
I bet more on the flizz-op (around 250-300).

End nit pick. You might not think it is a big difference, but it really makes post-flizz-op play a lot easier when you build the pot.

Turn is kinda interesting... KJ just got there, but you really have no idea where you are in the hand. I guess I don't mind a c/c too much, but for better or for worse I'm either leading or c/r allin. I'd probably push over his weak bet.

    On the river I don't like betting 300 here, I'd just c/c.

explain why leading or check raising is the best play on the turn...dont really understand why they are better than a check/call

its not nit picking its pointing out a big leak imo.

200 preflop makes the pot 450 on the flop
300 into a 450 pot leaves u with 900 behind, if he shoves its an easy call, if he flat calls the flop
the turn becomes 1050 giving u better than 2:1 which makes it so that u can go all in with top set on any turn card and still be fine.

It's a good river lay down. However if you're going to check/call the turn, and then lead out the river, why not just check raise the turn instead of call? It's essentially the same thing in terms of investment, only it doesn't reek of weakness as much. That weakness might be why he's raising the river. OR it could be because he has the J. You put yourself in a tough spot with the check/call because now you don't have a read.

thanks guys. felt i was beat on the turn which is why a check/raise didnt make much sense to me. if i would have fixed up my preflop raise and then made a nice 2/3 pot sized flop bet, i wouldnt be so stuck on the turn.

bet more on the flop - about 2/3 pot.
On the turn you have to make your decision if you are ahead or behind and either raise him or fold - I think I push over his turn raise
