It would be nice to know how exactly he got his stack since 12 hands is pretty tiny.
The hero may have only have seen 12 hands but the villian could have been at the table much longer.

He's probably very aggressive though I'd imagine since passives have a tough time building huge stacks usually. I've really been going back and forth lately between 3-betting the flop and calling/firing the turn in these spots. My usual line used to be calling and betting like 1/2 pot on the turn, but I'm going to start messing around with 3-betting more often I think...anyone think 3-betting here is horrible?
My thought process here is I can 3 bet the flop easier then leading out on the turn especially if a scare card (heart) comes out. My thought process is as follows:
1. He may be testing your cbet as he has a pair and maybe top pair. If this is true, I'd expect a likely fold here.
2. He's on a flush draw and his hoping to freeze you and see 2 cards. Depending on the player he calls or fold here.
3. He has a set and will probably push at your reraise. If he does, I'm gone
