    Default Basic AA question ($11)

Sorry for a basic AA question, this is about 15 hands in. No real reads, my HUD said that UTG was 13/0, MP1 was 27/7 and MP3 was 30/0.

What's your flop line? C-R all-in or lead? If you lead and one of these guys pushes over, what do you do?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    UTG+1 (t1625)
    MP1 (t1700)
    MP2 (t1795)
    MP3 (t1350)
    CO (t1420)
    Button (t990)
    Hero (t1610)
    BB (t1370)
    UTG (t1640)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, A.
    UTG calls t20, 1 fold, MP1 calls t20, MP2 calls t20, MP3 calls t20, 2 folds, Hero raises to t180, 1 fold, UTG calls t160, MP1 calls t160, MP2 calls t160, MP3 folds.

    Flop: (t760) T, 6, J (4 players)
    Hero ????

I lead here for sure (obviously with a good sized bet given the amount of action to come). If anyone pushes over, it's a tricky spot so early in the tournament but I'm not sure if I could find a fold.

Trips or two pair look pretty unlikely and if anyone wants to push on a draw then that's fine. I think I'd call but I know that some super-tight types would fold here.

I'd certainly follow up the pre flop raise with at least a half pot size bet since you will be expected to continue the betting. If someone comes over the top, I probably push.

Seems a bit odd someone with only 1 post offering an opinion to an expert but happy to try and do so.

3 callers, coordinated flop, OOP, you are in a tough spot.

I think you have two options here
    1. Pushing it - you definitly want to end the hand here if you are ahead, or get a caller with bad odds to draw on you with either TP or str8 or flush draw (hopefully not both).

    2. Check/fold to multiway action.

I think I push here, most of the time you will be ahead

I wonder if you could actually consider checking here. If there are just 1 bets after you, you yourself can reraise. If you have a bet and then a raise before you act, you can fold. If everyone checks, you feel dumb : /

I was playing mostly $6.50 turbos, trying to move back to $11 normals now.

I like push. If someone has a set you're going broke mostly, two pair you have a few outs. smaller bets may price in a draw and AJ/KJ should come along either way. I think the push is less spooky than a bet, it sorta looks like whiffed AK.

    You can't fold here.

I bet just under pot here (650), and I'm willing to play for stacks. If I get called, it's going in on the turn.

Thanks, that's pretty much exactly what I did. I bet 600, he pushed over, I called.

in that case just out of morbid curiosity what did he have? im guessing a set or a shitty draw since you ended up posting this

i like your play though - forces out weak draws and maybe even nut flush draw. youll likely get action only from hands youre dominating and that dominate you... but with AA im willing to go broke here

You are first to act, and there are 3 people to act behind you, 600-650 represnets about 1/2 of your remaining stack, so it is pretty clear that you will commit your entire stack in this hand.

If UTG calls your raise any of the other players has the correct odds to call/push with OESD or flush draw.

I dont think you want to play your entire stack in a multiway pot here. I much rather push it and pick up the 760 in the pot, if someone comes along for the ride so be it

Yeah, I play it the same. I probably pot it and I'm willing to call a push.
