    Default Check Line Please

Villain is loose passive and tends to be somewhat of a station. I was attempting to steal and I was in decent position preflop. When I hit the draw and he checked to me I made it half pot. The call was ok and when I hit my flush I made it half pot again hoping for a call. The problem here is what do you put villain on? What could he be calling with? Was half pot bets too small and should I have gone with 2/3? I didn't want to scare him away.

For villain's hands, being loose passive and station, my best guess is:
    - As (or Ks or Qs) + x
    - or eventually, PP 77-QQ (99 not very likely with the no action on flop and turn with the flush draw/possibility)

    Don't like hand slike this....

I think you played it fine and I think if the spade doesn't come on the river this guy is in big trouble... I can't imagine what this guy has, A3 or an over PP come to mind.

When I hit my hand on the turn, should I even be concerned with the type of hand that he has? I ask because this would justify raising more I would assume on the turn. The river was a bad card and if the river would have paired the board it would have been worse. I like my check there considering my flush maybe second best. Although his check tells me that he may not have me beaten, but I can't be so sure because of his calls. He seemed to be drawing to something or he had a pair, two pair, set that he couldn't let go. Who here would bet on the river?

For me villain's check on the river is screaming: "Bet on me and let me take your money!"

On the turn I would have bet around 2000 to avoid him staying in the hand and beat you with only a As, Ks or Qs. If he had AsXs, KsXs or QsXs, bad luck!

never bet the river. I hear you saying he is a station but ... if he's bad enough to call here without one, he may also be bad enough to raise with a bare A, which you don't want because you can't call. you have a bluff catcher, he didn't bluff, check is goot .

given he is a station, you might take a free card on the flop, but betting is fine too. I would lead 3/4 PS+ - you want to price out another FD or at least make him pay more to chase it, since you're paying it off for sure.

Turn - if he has a spade, you're laying 3/1 and again you may be forced to pay off so he isn't making a big mistake. If has he has a PP or 9x he's calling more than this. If he has overs without a spade I would think any bet folds him anyway, you can ignore that.

    check of river is good

He could check a few bigger spades there...

    I concur.
