Default anyone got any stratagies for this type of situation ?

playing in a tournament last night, dealt pocket A's and flopped 4 of a kind, lucky the other idiot pushed all in, but it occured to me that i have no idea how to extract the most chips from your opponent when you have the deck completely crippled....... any thoughts?

Put the opponent on a hand range, and bet accordingly.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

ok, with the other obviously not having an A, and not re-raising i would not put him on KK QQ so, anything from KQs downwards to 10,10 possibly a smaller pocket pair, any small bet is going to look like a trap and a large bet is just going to scare him off,

the only way i can think of is to check the flop and hope they hit something on the turn or the river and they bet into it,

is there a better way to play this situation?

Much better in position obviously. If you think your opp has a PP or 2 big cards, give them a chance to bluff at you or give them chance to catch a boat or 2 pair and fire at you. If you think they caught something on the flop then raise or bet out to disguise your hand.

Although putting your opps on a range is also important when you have the nuts, it is more important here to remember what YOUR betting patterns have been. You want to portray to your opps that you are bluffing. So make a bet that you think they will understand as a bluff.

Bet what you would bet if you were gonna bluff trip aces on the flop, but give him room to make you fold to a re raise without pot comitting himself

Either that or check it down to the river and minbet for a few extrra chips

For me, it depends on my table image. If I have been continuation betting a lot of flops, I'll lead with a good sized bet with quads like that. If called, check the turn to indicate weakness and try to draw more chips into the pot.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
