Default 3 hands: early, mid, late ... (55k rebuy)

Played this tourney for fun and had a really good time. In case you're wondering or concerned though, don't worry, I won't play it again for a while.

Not great at playing rebuy hours, trying to figure them out. Probably half the people at my table didn't rebuy at the very start, and a high percentage of all the hands were limped pots. In this hand, I suppose you would be really surprised if no one had a T at show down, but are the times that no one does worth calling down with a K? Is this something you do during rebuy hour? Obviously the reason I bet that amount on the river was so that I could rebuy when the hand was over.

I've got a decent stack here. How do you feel about the push? Is it better to reraise an amount instead? How much? Does a push make it too obvious what I have, and does that matter? I asked someone about this and he said that I want to see all five cards with this hand. Maybe ... but I still don't know if I like it.

Not much for reads on the guy, couldn't really figure him out. He changed gears a lot during the time I sat with him.

Hand 1 - If you are going to play manaic style - play maniac style and raise or push the flop. You just pussyfooted around until you realized, crap I might as well just bet 700 more so that I can rebuy now.

Hand 2 - really depends on your play style and reads. If you raise to 15k and he then does a stop'n'go are you are going to have to call (his bet will be so small at that point you will be priced in). If he calls and checks the flop you are going to have to push. So deciding whether to raise or to just push there really depends more on what bet you think will just take the pot down for you easiest.

Hand 3 - easy push for me. Limping with 8xBB is retarded.

i know it's a rebuy, but it doesn't mean you should give chips away on the river. check... call if you must on river in hand 1. Any hand you have beat (maybe a PP?) will fold to 700, but maybe he'll bluff with it.

If you really want to play a pot here, I would CR the turn to 1k, then you can just give up unless you spike a FH.

I would never limp this here. I folded and then instantly regretted it.

With what range am I pushing here?

Harrington says hands as weak as T8o are pushable in low M spots. 8BB isn't quite low enough, but consult HOH2 or the book club's discussion of it.

In EP I wouldn't make this set in stone but ATs&0+, 66+, KQs&o. If you go through the blinds and are back in this position again, I think that you have to consider that you are desperate and throw in suited connectors. Although, if you go through the blinds and folded to you on the button you can push with any two.

I would have pushed 66 there.

Default Re: 3 hands: early, mid, late ... (55k rebuy)

    1.)Go ai preflop
    2.)Yawn
3.)I would fold, hate small pocket pairs in this position, that being low chip stack realtive to BB and being in early position. I'd rather let the blinds go thru me and push in LP if no one opens in front of me (if you get a chance to). I won't go below 5x BB and would push this if I had a little less chips (<17k), but I think it's close.

    1) I am not interested in playing TPNK on a KTT board vs. several opponents. Why even call the flop bet? Definitly fold the turn. I could see making a play on the flop and raising

    2) I think if you raise here, you may as well push given his stack size. I don't hate a call here with position if the table is tight. It's sorta tricky to play if you miss the flop and he bets.

    3) 66 is right on the border, because so many pairs dominate you. But you are happy with the coinflip unless you think you can squeak ITM.
