    Default Is he bluffing?

I've only been here maybe four orbits, but villain has played in almost every hand, and several of them he's bet strongly on the flop and gotten ppl to fold doing it again on the turn. I haven't seen him showdown in a sizable pot yet, but have seen him take more cautious lines with marginal hands. I've been abc tag and started off by doubling up off villain with KK vs his JJ all in pre flop.

Do you think my calls +ev here? The river card sucked...

I like it. I dont see myself folding here and chances are if you raise he folds. Sometimes I will raise this flop here and try and get the pot up there, I wont have any problems playing for my stack here against such a Tard.

    benny,

hand is fine against the type of opponent you just descriped. If there should be a fold anywhere in this hand, it should be on the turn, but I have hard time folding the turn against this maniac.

If I raise PF with AK and get bet into on a flop like this, I am almost always going to be raising here so with JJ I should be as well. With KK or AA I wouldnt mind a call, but with JJ or even QQ I think we need to raise the flop. I think I call the turn as played and reevaluate on the river. His river bet makes it seem like he didnt really like the turn K and I wouldnt be surprised to see a mid pair or something like TT.

I would be oh so tempted to raise the river here, to $45 or so.

I dont understand this? Why, for value or as a bluff?

Villain calls with any pocket pair or non 9 hand ahead of you, and since a large part of that range is behind you, it's for value without fear of a reraise. It's like the 9 protects your value.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Wow I never even considered a river raise. Rondavu - I like how you said that about the 9 protecting the value. In my mind he either had a strong hand (like two pair maybe a9) or air on the flop/turn, but with that river bet maybe raising small would be alright. Not sure even he calls a river raise with complete junk though...but probably

btw, villain ended up showing T4c (whew), and ran at 90/30 for the 200 hands I proceeded to play at that table. I'm glad noone thought it looks like a bad call down at the time though.

So amazingly he had a 600bb stack when I finally left, because 2 more people even worse joined the table.

I guess this goes in tales of poker but whatever it fits with this thread anyways - I saved some of hands from that table, so if anyone wants some comic relief...
