    Default Help me with post-flop

These are all $33 single table stars games and they are all related to cbetting on missed flops or dangerous flops.
What kinds of things should I be considering in each case? Please ignore any preflop choices I made and just comment on what the flop play would normally be, or even better, what the flop plays are under different circumstances.

    Thanks!

Open bet? Both opponents could feasibly have limp/called with Ax given their semi-donk status in my book.

This one is not a $33 single table, it's a $22 2 table although it probably doesn't matter much.

If your gonna bet fire out about 1/2-2/3 pot.

Still looking for my royal flush.

My experience is at 10+1's, so take my decision making with a grain of salt :P .

    Hand 1
Its likely you have the best hand, I would bet 2/3 of the pot here to drive away the draws.

    Hand 2
Depends on how my opponents have been playing. I would probably check behind, & if checked to on the turn, make a delayed c-bet.

    Hand 3
With 2 callers I gotta think one of them has an ace, I would lead out for information, if called or raised, just shut down.

    Hand 4
Depends on the opponent again. I probably bet 300 here, if played back at you still have a workable stack of 975.

    Hand 5
Meh, I probably check here. With an over & a 3 flush out there, I just check. If checked to on the turn, I would do a delayed c-bet to see if your jacks are good.

    Hand 1
    Bet 150 or so.

    Hand 2
I'm with Caeaar. I check the flop with the intention of betting the turn just because a donk won;t believe I would bet out a K.

    Hand 3
    Check/fold button I'm afraid.

    Hand 4
Bet 400 with the intention of calling a pus.

    Ill finish this later..............

Saucey, as you think about these hands, are you putting your opponents on hand ranges? And then, do you filter that hand range down after you get action in return? I don't check this board often enough anymore, so you'll have to answer your own questions.

Hand 1: Ez bet-fold situation. Or if called, check behind turn, and likely river. Be very careful of not getting caught up with thinking an ace improves your hand.

Hand 2: Checking behind here with 2 other players isn't so bad. Anyhow, c-betting works, and all you need to bet is like t60 to get all the info you need (especially with the Ac in your hand).

Hand 3: Raise more preflop. I'm pretty weak tight here, and will often times not put anymore money in the middle. That may mean I sometimes fold the best hand. The object of this game is not to win every pot, just the game. If you do c-bet something small and get called, I would hope to check it all the way down. I probably fold to most river bets, as the diamonds may get there, a T or a 5 is difficult card for us, besides the other obvious better set, pair and two pair hands.

Hand 4: Ok, later in the game, risks we would not consider earlier pay off a little more due to the nature of the ratio between stacksizes and potsizes. Of all the players at the table, you should know the most about SB and BB. It's so imperative to develop reads here. How will he play QJ on this flop for example? How will he play when he misses? How loose does he call preflop? The ratio of your stack to the pot is 2:1. You have 12 BBs behind. What will villain do if you bet t100? You only have runner runner redraws. This is a tough spot. By not analyzing the player, and determing what is the best size to bet preflop, makes these types of flops a challenge. There is no right answer here, just find what works best for you.

Hand 5: Very easy check behind.

1: bet for value, check turn.

2: check or bet is both fine, with your stack I like check better.

3: raise more preflop. Check flop.

4: If you bet the flop, you'll have to call the push. I like a check better.

5: I'd bet this. You're almost surely ahead but Villain is drawing very live.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

Wow i thought this was a dead thread, thanks for the bump and subsequent feedback. I lost track of the actual HH's that these came from, so I don't know how any of these turned out or what I did, but i suppose that's less important. ty again for the ideas, esp scuba, v nice explanations.
