    I've almost gone numb to the sensation of losing a winning hand. It happens. You've done it to someone before (if you've played even a short time).

    I normally wouldnt reply to this. But I actually think your whining is common and it displays a huge leak. His call was NOT "terrible" (I am not saying it was good, just that it was not terrible). You had an M of 3. You didnt even have 5x the BB. You are UTG there and many would argue (I am one of them) that you should push with ANY TWO here. But even if we give you a tighter range, his call was not that bad considering that he also needs to double up desperately.

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 45.5566 % 40.52% 05.03% { A6o }
    Hand 2: 54.4434 % 49.41% 05.03% { 22+, A2s+, K9s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, A2o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo, T9o, 98o, 87o }

    His call was fine. He figured that you were desperate and were pushing any two from UTG and his hand was in the range to call any two. He was desperate as well and was nearly dead like you. I wouldn't be pissed, because you want them to call you when you have the best hand.

    In addition, you were so low on chips that it didn't matter. In order to really be a threat you had to double-up several times, not just this one time. If you would have won this you would be around 4k. Then the bb and sb will hit ya and your back to 3400. Time to push again to get over 10bb before you hit the blinds again.

    What Chard is saying is that you should never let yourself get below 5bb. That means that if you are UTG and the bb will put you under 5bb, then you have to push any two. If that means that you may bust, well you were going to bust anyways. Might as well go down with a fight.

    It's not a coincidence that every thread you've authored so far has become locked.

    Opponent's call is not horrible. You are both very low in chips, and you need to understand that somebody will look you up here anyway.

    Use the Bad Beat forum for posts like this.
