Default Who's the Best SnG player on PS??

Just curious who do you think/know is the best SnG player on Pokerstars. I seen this guy “Nakinoru” played over 20 tables at a time. How do you play over 20 tables at once?? Max I played is 5 tables and having a hard time concentrating.

the best has nothing to do with how many tables are being played.

I wish you could sharkscope sheets.

The best player I've found results for is (shocker) JohnnyBax. He's up over 50k from SnGs alone, with an 11% ROI @ an average stake of $360 after over 1400 SnGs. Fossilman (Greg Raymer) would be in the competition too (15%, avg stake of $583), save that his current sample size is only 77 SnGs. I'm sure Sheets would be up there too, but we'll never know for sure.

Side note, since I brought him up: Has anyone ever watched Raymer play? He seems far more passive than I'd expect. Is it just that he doesn't put stock in the intimidation factor of his name? I've seen him bubble (al beit when Sheets gave him a bad beat in a BSB battle) and take down first, and I've never seen him make plays that rely much on FE - just good mathematical decisions combined with tight play. Do we put too much emphasis on FE and aggression? Do things change that much when you get in the highest level games?

And (almost completely unrelated, save that it too ends in a question mark...) if you had to choose between a level of SnG that you dominated (say 30% ROI @ $109 regulars) and a level that you were merely successful at (say 10% ROI @ $225 turbos), which would you choose?
    I run a training site...

Trick question. But I would choose 30% ROI @ 109 Regulars because of the psychological factor. At 30% ROI it translates to have a shorter losing streak compared to 10% ROI which will have a larger losing streak. Long losing streak can be a huge psychological obstacle and very difficult to overcome.

Take a look at Sharkscope's leaderboards, they have a listing of the SNG players that have earned the most $ at various levels. I recognise some of the names as some pretty hard core 2+2ers.

I agree with this 100%. I hit a 30 buyin downswing at the PS $6.50s which made it difficult for me to play my A game (mostly I was folding pushes that were definitely +EV).

The one with the highest hourly rate obviously.. The lower level if it's close.

NB. Party Sng's have dried up now, should I move to stars or FT?

I'd recommend trying both (I'm going to take a look at FT SnGs just for the hell of it), but I'd suspect you'll have an easier time finding a game at the stakes you want to play on Stars than on FT. And I know there are donks-a-plenty on Stars up to at least the $109 level.

okay so quick report from stars $11s... played a bunch last two days and.....

    FISHIES ARE BACK!!!!

right after legislation passed, ppl stopped playing and games got tougher... now im getting bad beat left and right which is def a good sign that the fishies are coming back playing their A3os AI against KK
its just too bad i happened to play a (ugh) 6 game 4 4th session just now

or in more technical terms, lots looser, seeing plenty of poor calls and maniac bets etc etc. im very pleased. would be even more pleased if i didnt have so much damn work to do

Yes, I have also noticed that the $16 turbos are much fishier than they used to be. Important when you're considering opps calling/pushing/raising ranges for pushes and calls of pushes.
