    Default One hand

    Hi guys,

    Was this play -EV? I don't have SNGPT so I cannot test it myself ...
    Something that I just tought of now is that if the villain's stack was not bigger then mine I guess this was +EV, am I wrong?

    Don't show the results of the hand! It makes it look like a bad beat post (gotta love the runner runner after you hit your Q though )

    Code:
            	equity (%)  	win (%)	tie (%)
    Hand  1:	69.8750 %  	69.33% 	00.55%      { AsQh }
    Hand  2:	30.1250 %  	29.58% 	00.55%      { KdQd }
    At a $5.50, I think the push is fine. You have good fold equity, and if you're called you will often see a bunch of hands that you beat (Ax where x<Q, KT-KQ, maybe even QJ) and with either UTG or UTG+1's dead chips in the pot (assuming that one of them folds) even if you're up against a pocket pair lower than QQ you're getting more than the right price to flip.

    BTW, SNGPT can't analyse this for you, you need SNG Wizard. I ran this through it and this push is +EV unless opps are very tight which is almost never the case in a $5.50.

    Thanks for the answer taipan!

    I guess unconsciously, I wanted to hear that I did the right play and I had a bad beat ... I'll not post the hands results in the future!

    BTW, where can I have a look at SNG wizard? I've googled it but I cannot find anything ...

    Thanks again taipan!

    BTW, could you tell me the difference between SNGPT and SNG Wizard?

    Thanks!

    SNGPT can analyse any hand where you either open push all-in or call an all-in. SNGPT cannot analyse hands where you are pushing over somebody else's raise or limp whilst SNG Wizard can. Plus the SNG Wizard interface is also a bit nicer.

    There was a post on 2+2 that set the differences out - link here
