I called and villian turned up 66. gg me. another bubble bust.
In hintsight, I should have folded. Villian led out, then called my 3x raise on the flop; check-raised then re-raised allin on the turn after I showed strength. He was screaming a boat.
Oh well, tough to lose like this, especially when everything screams i was beat. But then I don't remember any times I've laid down a nut flush in a single pair board before.
Pre-flop call was totally based on pot odds, number of limpers, and position.
The reason I didn't raise after UTG on the turn is that, after both villian and UTG called my raise on the flop, I suspect at least one of them is on a flush draw, and another with over pair, and maybe 2-pair. The 8c pair the board, and with UTG leading out, I wanted to just called and evaluate later. With villian checkraised and UTG folded, I eliminated that UTG on the flush, and now villian could have had on the flop: (flush draw, over pair, 2 pair, set, or maybe A8???). I re-raised his checkraise to try to find out more...and his re-raise allin told me he's got (flush, trip, or boat). Flush was unlikely, since I got the nut flush. trip also not as likely, since TPTK called on FLOP would have been brave. So boat was most likely. I should have folded. Oh well...
