Default Review these two hands for me...

    Hey guys,

I just finished a 180 person tourney on PartyPoker ($33), and there's two hands I'd like feedback on. I didn't get the hand history's so bear with me while I talk through them.

    Hand 1:
In the early-mid stage of the tourney, blinds are level 5 - 150/300.

No real reads on the villain, he's been playing efficiently and accumulating chips consistently.

    Villain ~ 8000
    Hero ~ 6000

I get and limp in MP (its a favourite hand otherwise I'd fold), nobody raises. SB folds, BB checks.

    4 people see the flop.

    Flop:

    BB checks.

    Villian bets 500.

    Hero?????

    Hand 2:

This is on the bubble. 22 players remain, top 20 get paid.

I think I played this hand well, but I'd like some feedback anyway.

    Blinds 600/1200/25

Villain has been playing position well with regards to raising and blind stealing. Has won a couple of big hands. Has also got lucky with some loose calls, and one hand of downright dangerous play.

    Villain ~ 43,000
    Hero ~ 45,000 (table leader)

    I'm on the button with

Villain raises in LP to 3000 - this has been in line with his 'steal' raises.

    Hero reraises to 10,000

    Table folds around to villain.

Villian pauses for only 2 seconds before calling.

    Flop:

    Villian bets 10,000

Hero reraises All In for 35,000

Villian calls in a heartbeat, shows

    Turn

    River

Villian wins a crapload of chips with 2 pair. Wanker.

I'm really keen on improving my MTT game, and some feedback here would be great. Cheers.

    Don't ever say that again

Call, re-evaluate on the turn, if it comes a heart give it up. If the villain slows down you've most likely got the best hand, villain may well just have tp, or 4 to a flush, or trying to pick up the pot on a dangerous flop.

Very read and villain dependent how you play on from here.

nothing you can do about hand2, just unlucky. You could flat call, but I prefer a push. He made a bad call imo, both pf and on the flop. I like the reraise btw.

Hand 1 - depends on how you want to play it. Either raise right there on the flop or call and then raise any non-heart turn.
