Default $4 180.. final 6, push or fold?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t1600 (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    (t74076)
    UTG (t29014)
    MP (t12740)
    CO (t26771)
    Button (t67329)
    SB (t60070)

    Preflop: UTG+1 with KTo

    UTG+1 folds
UTG (this is you, with KTo, do you push?)

People have been calling pushes with QQ, AK and AQ. These are the hands that have doubled and busted people...

I dont think you need to push this as you have over 10x bb. Just do a standard 2.5xbb raise and play it accordingly. The 2.5x raise should accomplish the same thing without as much risk

You M is just over 4, with the blinds coming next.. you have 8BB by the way.

    That is quite confusing.... lol

By your description sounds like a tight table... I think a fold is better than a push here but I can see merits for pushing.

Because this isn't my HH.. it was a friend of mines HH and I was viewing, so I copied and pasted it in from the HH window.. Nothing I can do about that, can we carry on the discussion please? I'm curious to know the EV of this based on ranges..

Givememyleg, wouldn't it be more +EV to push this hand if the table is tighter?

Well that's what I meant... the table is tight so I can see merits of pushing but I think it might be slightly -ev.... although I don't have sngpt.

If they seem like they have a tight range, I'm probably pushing here. If I expect many calls, I'm folding.

FWIW (assuming antes), your M is just a bit over 4. Since you're short handed, your effective M is more like 3 (roughly 6/9 * 4). I think KT is a very viable push in this situation, especially at a tight table.

Viable, that means good/bad or decent?

With that short a stack, I think you are looking to push. If you have two cards that are decent for doing so, I like the push. So yes, I think this is a marginally good push.
