Any particular reason for the 6xBB preflop raise? I think anything between 2.5BB-4BB should accomplish the same, you save yourself some chips and don't become so invested into the hand.

As played - you have to bet more on the flop. A lot more - like 35-40k. Fold when reraised.

I think the blinds were actually 3k/6k so it was a standard 3x raise (the BB called just 12k more to 18k).

I don't like how u played it postflop tho. Making the same bet on the flop that you did preflop is weak - it was less than 1/3 of the pot. Because of that weak bet, his minraise signifies one of three things: 1) I have the Q or better, 2) your bet is weak and I am going to try and take it away from you, or 3) I am retarded and don't know how to bluff.

If you had bet more like 35k into that flop you are left with just 2 decisions: he has you beat, or he is bluffing.

If you don't have the balls to bet out an appropriate amount on the flop, I would much rather you just check/call or check/fold.

I fixed the post - it was 3/6k blinds. Not sure why it converted that way.

In my own review of this hand, I suspected that the biggest mistake was the flop bet.

When the Q came out, I guess I was concerned that he might have a Q and I was already behind. I might have a "mentality" problem that I need to change.

Well you either check/fold, or bet the proper amount and your opponent will then reraise or call ya down. If he reraises after a normal bet, then clear fold. If he calls, try to check it down. Don't waste chips by betting how you feel. In other words, I feel weak so I will bet weak.
